This single malt reveals a rich, complex tasting. On the nose, the sweet and tart notes of Japanese medlar evoke a delicious marmalade, followed by a hint of peat and soft notes of honey and pancakes. On the palate, the taste expresses the energy and peat of the original distillate, with fruity notes from the nose accompanied by fresh lemon zest. A complex, rich malty flavor maintains the balance perfectly for several seconds. The finish is long, sweet and powerful, with a pleasant peaty bitterness that lingers on the palate. The color of this whisky is an intense amber.

Tsunuki Single Malt Edition 2023 is a whisky aged in a variety of casks, mainly bourbon, and bottled exclusively in 2023. Enjoy the deep, finely woven flavor with meaty thickness and fresh fruitiness. This whisky was awarded a gold medal at the TWSC 2023 competition, as well as a silver medal at the WWA 2023 and ISC 2023 competitions.

Mars Tsunuki Distillery was founded in 2016 in Kagoshima on a historic site in Hombo Shuzo, drawing on over 100 years of tradition in making shochu, Japan's traditional distilled spirit. Located between Mount Kurata and Mount Nagaya, it benefits from a warm summer climate and high-quality water resources from the springs of Mount Kurata. In Tsunuki, the birthplace of Honbo Sake Brewery, the distillery uses its in-depth knowledge of water and climate to create an authentic whisky that honours the tradition of sake brewing and explores new values in Japanese whisky.
