New malt

Japanese Whisky

A new malt is an extract of a future malt whisky that cannot yet be considered a single malt because it has been aged for less than 3 years. Also called new make or new pot when the distillate is bottled just after distillation without being aged in casks, these bottles are an opened view of the future of young distilleries.
