Takara shōchū Japan belongs to the category of shōchū korui produced from multiple distillation, as opposed to the single-distilled honkaku category.

This traditional drink, which has sugar in the form of molasses, and barley as its basic ingredients, is produced by Takara from unique processes that take advantage of the natural sweetness of the ingredients.

One of these processes is multiple distillation, which results in a subtle tasting shōchū, expressing a round and smooth profile that is ideal for sipping just with a few ice cubes, or elongated with sparkling water, or will work as the base ingredient for a cocktail with accents of the land of the rising sun.
