A small craft distillery founded in 2016, Nagahama has been offering exclusive bottlings since 2020, of which the single malt Nagahama Tanba Wine X Sweden Oktave is one of the most recent.

For this edition, Takashi Kiyoi the master blender and Yusuke Yahisa the distiller have selected two casks for the blend: one of Japanese red wine Tanba and a small Swedish octave cask whose 50-liter capacity enhances the complexity of the whisky.

The artisanal dimension expressed in this creation can be felt in its delicate and gourmet profile which reveals a rich aromatic palette ranging from fruity citrus notes to milk chocolate notes and floral and spicy notes.

Bottled in 2020, this blend of only two casks is an ultra-limited whisky of only 501 bottles, that testifies to the beginnings of this young distillery located on the shores of Lake Biwa in Toyama Prefecture. Considered as the smallest distillery in Japan, Nagahama distills by hand in limited quantities in small stills whose atypical shape reminds of Arab architecture, which gives them their nickname of aranbics.

Product limited to 1 bottles per order.
