On the nose, this whisky reveals a balanced sweetness between honey and lemon tea, nuanced by more pronounced notes of banana and caramel. On the palate, it evokes traditional Japanese flavors, combining the scent of quince honey candy and Nikki cinnamon with an enveloping texture. Lively nuances of ginger mingle harmoniously with the bitterness of smoked walnuts, highlighting the characteristic sweetness of Kanosuke whiskies. Finally, its finish evokes the slow disappearance of the sweet and bitter notes, recalling the peaceful decline of the sun over the sea horizon.

Nestled near the beach south of Kagoshima, the Kanosuke distillery draws its inspiration from the unique atmosphere of this location, praised by Mr. Kanosuke as home to Japan's most splendid sunset.  The bottle symbolizes the sunset over the China Sea, seen from the Mellow Bar at the Kanosuke distillery. This exceptional environment is the cradle of the whiskies passionately crafted every day by the second generation of the Kanosuke family.

Kanosuke Single Malt subtly combines a small proportion of peated malt with a distillation process in three separate stills. Aged in re-boiled sherry and American white oak casks, which previously held the family's famous "Mellowed Kozuru" shochu, this whisky embodies the essence of this exceptional terroir.
