Hanyu Single Cask 2000 is a real fable of its own whose story takes place in the heart of the Hanyu distillery founded in 1941 by Isouji Akuto, but closed in 2000 and destroyed in 2004. You will have understood, this precious whisky is a mythical bottling because it is one of the last whisky casks distilled in Hanyu.

The American oak cask #957 has waited for 14 years before revealing its deep and full-bodied profile. At the heart of this intriguing whisky are fruity notes of candied fruits, peaches, apricots, but also spicy notes of cinnamon and clove. But the tale doesn't end there, the last paragraph will transport you to a more vegetal universe of wet earth and nuts.

At the end of this fabulous tasting, you will be left with a feeling of nostalgia but also of satisfaction to be among the last to have tasted this delicious story.
