Yamazakura Asaka Blended Malt Sherry Wood Reserve is an exceptional whisky awarded the title of "Best Blended Whisky in the World" at the Whiskies Awards 2022.
A very limited edition with only 440 bottles produced worldwide, this blended malt is a blend of several single malts from Japanese distilleries including Asaka. The malts have been previously aged for 3 years in their respective distilleries, then matured for 18 months in sherry casks in the cellars of the Asaka distillery.
Neither colored nor chill-filtered, this limited edition has a greedy and balanced profile, with notes of honey, apple and lemon on the nose, to which are added aromas of apricot, caramelized apple and vanilla during tasting. The finish reveals more woody and cereal aromas with notes of toasted oak and malt.
Product limited to 1 bottles per order.
