Ozeki Kanjuku Umeshu is a Japanese plum liqueur from the Ozeki Sake and Traditional Drinks House founded in 1711 in Imazu village, Shiga prefecture.

This liqueur is made from a variety of plums from the Wakayama region called "nanko ume" and shochu, a Japanese rice brandy, using a traditional method that involves macerating ripe, plump plums in shochu for several months, allowing the plums' sweet and tart flavors to diffuse into the liqueur.

The result is a golden colored liqueur with a sweet, fruity aroma of plums and a rich, complex flavor that perfectly balances the sweet and sour notes. This liqueur is usually consumed as a digestive after a meal, but can also be used in the preparation of cocktails and desserts.

Ozeki Kanjuku Umeshu is highly regarded in Japan and around the world for its unique taste and superior quality. If you enjoy fruit-based liqueurs and are looking to discover new and exotic tastes, this Japanese plum liqueur is definitely a great option to try.
