Nine Leaves Angel's Half American Oak Cask rum is a creation of the Nine Leaves micro-distillery founded by Yoshiharu Takeuchi in 2013 in Otsu on the shores of Lake Biwa. This rum has the originality of being like a single malt ; distilled in traditional Scottish pot stills and aged in Bourbon barrels.

Japanese amber rum, Nine Leaves Angel's Half American Oak Cask is made from unrefined brown sugar, muscovado, from Tamara Island in the tropical archipelago of Okinawa.

Surprising by its complex aromatic profile, it is revealed on the nose with notes of caramel, toast and jam which are accompanied by aromas of maple syrup and coffee on the palate, to finally disappear in a slightly smoky finish.
