For the 2020 edition of Cosmo blended malt, Mars Whisky offers a version finished in wine casks of red wine from the Yamanashi vineyards for a result showing a round and pleasant honeyed sweetness balanced by spicy and tannic notes acquired during the refining.

Mars Cosmo Wine Cask Finish is therefore a blend of several single malts with distinct characteristics aged in Bourbon barrels and then finished for one year in red wine casks. Complex and rich in aromas, its fruity nose brings notes of fig, dried banana chips, apricot tea to which the sweetness of honey and brown sugar are added on the palate. The finish is rather silky and delicate while revealing a more tannic side.
