This blend created by Ichiro Akuto, founder and Master Blender of the distillery, was awarded the title of best limited edition blend at the World Whiskies Awards 2021. Made exclusively from Japanese malts and grain whiskies, this whisky has a fruity, deep and complex profile. 

This exceptional Japanese blend has the particularity of being blended from the oldest cask stocks of the Chichibu distillery. Bottled unchill-filtered at 48.5%, Ichiro's Malt & Grain Japanese Blended Whisky 2021 opens up fully during tasting, emphasizing the fruity and woody notes that combine elegantly with the few smoky notes transmitted during aging.

Ichiro's Malt is a brand created in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, founder of the Chichibu distillery and Venture Whisky, the company in charge of marketing the brand.


Ichiro Akuto, having recovered the remaining casks of Hanyu, his grandfather's distillery, has shown his imagination by proposing a very varied range from young single malts from Chichibu to blended malts from Double Distilleries or exclusive bottlings of Hanyu's single malts.
